Does Macy's have eReceipts?

Macy's offers you the choice to receive receipts by email (eReceipts), paper, or both. To choose your preference, Sign In and follow these steps:

From your computer:

  • Go to the drop-down menu on the top right side of the page and select PROFILE
  • Select Preferences , then select Notifications
  • In the Store Receipts section, select the Edit link

 

From your mobile device:

  • Go to the menu on the top left side of the page and select MY ACCOUNT , then select PROFILE
  • In the Contact/Security section, select the Sign up for Email Notifications link
  • In the Store Receipts section, select the Edit link

 

 

Note : If you check out at a Macy's store, the Store Colleague may ask you to confirm your preference to receive your receipt via email.

 

Note: Some Macy's store locations are required by local laws to charge a nominal bag fee for merchandise bags provided at the customer’s request for in-store or pickup purchases. If you don’t want to pay this fee, you’re welcome to bring your own bag/tote to the store.

 

Using an eReceipt to Make a Return

Macy's accepts returns accompanied by either an eReceipt or paper receipt.

Note: Most merchandise returns can be made within 30 days of the purchase date. There are some exceptions for items with special return guidelines. To view the full return policy, please click here.

Returning Merchandise if You've Lost Your eReceipt

Since receipt information can typically be retrieved for up to two years following your purchase, we're able to look up your purchase information with your account number, a customer return label, or a Gift Registry number.

If we're able to access your receipt, you will receive a refund to the original account or a store credit. If we're unable to access your receipt, we'll give you a store credit for the item's lowest selling price within the last 30 days.

Call Customer Service for a Variety of eReceipt Issues

Contact Customer Service at 866-593-2543 if you need the following issues resolved:

  • If you've signed up for eReceipts but haven't received them, Customer Service will verify the current email address that we have on file and send you any eReceipts that you're missing.
  • If you want to change the email address where your eReceipts are sent
  • If you've lost an eReceipt and would like a replacement
  • If you're getting someone else's eReceipt, have the eReceipt available so the representative can get the 10-digit receipt number and the customer's name

When Returned Funds Will be Available

For returns made in store, your funds will be available immediately. For returns that are made by mail, you'll receive full credit once the merchandise is received and processed at the fulfillment center.

Note: The amount of time until you're fully credited may vary based on the processing requirements of your bank.

Only One eReceipt Received for Multiple Purchases

Your email provider may only show one eReceipt. Ensure that you select the "unhide" or "show all" links provided in your email to view all of your eReceipts.
