Which payment methods can I use for my macys.com purchases?
Payment with Macy's Card or Macy's American Express Card
To pay with your Macy's Card or Macy's American Express Card online, you'll need to add your card to your account and set up a payment source using your bank account and routing number.

Payment with Third-Party Credit Cards
In addition to Macy's Cards and Macy's American Express Cards, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for macys.com purchases. You can save up to ten cards in your digital Wallet.
Add Your Third-Party Credit Cards to your Wallet
During online Checkout, your default card will automatically show as your preferred payment option. If you have added a third-party card to the Wallet and would like to use that card instead, select the Change box and choose the card you want to use.
Payment with PayPal
PayPal is a safe, secure, and easy way to pay for your macys.com purchases. With PayPal, your credit card or debit card numbers are never shared or transmitted with payment. Features include:
- The PayPal mobile app is available on all Apple and Android devices, and there are no fees for using PayPal
- Macy's Cards cannot be added to PayPal—only American Express, Visa, and MasterCard
- PayPal is currently available online at macys.com for both desktop and mobile devices, plus the Macy's mobile app
- PayPal can be used for online purchases, returns, and exchanges, but is not available for in-store purchases
- PayPal cannot be added to the online Wallet feature at this time
- PayPal cannot be used with other forms of payment, including Macy's Gift Cards
- You will receive receipts for your PayPal transactions from both Macy's and PayPal

Payment with your Macy's Gift Card or E-Gift Card
You can use your Macy's Gift Card or E-Gift Card to pay for macys.com purchases. Apply up to five Macy's Gift Cards/E-Gift Cards per order, or use them in addition to your Macy's Card, Macy's American Express Card, or third-party credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express).
In the Apply Gift Cards section, enter any applicable gift cards. Select the Apply Gift Card button once you're finished.
We are unable to split payments on an order using PayPal and a Macy's Gift Card/E-Gift Card.
Payment with a Third-Party Gift Card
In addition to Macy's Gift Cards and E-Gift Cards, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express Gift Cards for macys.com purchases.
Enter your third-party gift card on the payment page as you would a credit card. Third-party gift cards cannot be combined with any other form of payment other than Macy's Gift Cards/E-Gift Cards. In order to utilize a third-party gift card on a Macy's online purchase, it must have a balance of at least double your order total.
